Dr Niefer Praises Mercedes-Benz Plant
Dr Hansgeorg Niefer, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz South Africa was the guest speaker at the Border-Kei Chamber of Business Annual Dinner. Dr Niefer reminded the guests that the Mercedes-Benz plant has been a key manufacturing entity in the city as far back as 1948. Back then it manufactured a large variety of models and makes. Amongst them were Fiat, Renault, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Auto Union, DKW, Land Rover, Hino, Prince, Commer and Nash vehicles. The Mercedes-Benz production started in 1952. Read more
