Chev Spark comes of age
The new Chevrolet Spark is a radical departure from its predecessor if ever the parable of the Ugly Duckling comes in to being. In terms of the Motor Industry, this is a case where it may apply. Bold new styling has absolutely transformed the dour Spark into a bold and stylish contender in the small car segment. Admittedly the new look may not appeal to everyone but it certainly is a dramatic improvement on the old model. Read more
Fiat 500
There are times in life when one must eat a bit of humble pie. When I was offered the Fiat 500c for a test drive I said I would happily do so but should Fiat not consider a more up-market car more suited to the readership of the Business Hi-Lite Magazine. Salesman John Dunn shot back an indignant reply that the Fiat 500 was their flagship product and that not only was it the European car of the year but that it had beaten the Jaguar to the title. I had a trip to Queenstown planned to see a client and I thought perhaps that I’d rather drive my personal car on that sometimes dangerous road. Dunnn assured me that the car had a 5 star eurocap rating and that I needn’t worry about safety issues. Read more
